We have sought to provide a clean and intuitive format for collecting
patient data while out of the office. Many medical professionals need help
in this area, but they don't want to become computer operators in order to
get that help. Our program combines the strengths of the Newton PDA -
such as portability, communication and screen entry - with a simple user
interface. We provide multiple choices for data entry where ever possible
and many context-sensitive lists for quickly reusing words and phrases.
Patient encounter data can be passed back and forth from one coworker to
another by beaming from one Newton PDA to another.

A built-in Help system is available. The documentation includes an
illustrated, step-by-step training manual to ease the learning process.

Med-Access provides excellent fax and printing support. The Newton
computer works well for quickly sending notes and memos on a moment by
moment basis. However, if you collect thirty, forty ,or more data records
during a day and then want to fax them all to the office at one time, the
user must go through the fax setup procedure for each item. Med-Access
has solved this problem by providing fax or printing in batch mode. All new
records or edited records can be bundled together and processed as one big
fax or print job. This saves space in the fax by putting up to three
encounters on one page and handles the fax process for all the items as if
only one item had to be faxed.

We are presently at the demonstration level and would welcome medical
professionals in general practice or in any speciality who would like to
work with us. We will supply the software. You supply feedback on
changes, enhancements and help us build an extensive set of medical
terms for our user lists. We want to offer lists that fit as many
specialities as possible.

We are also seeking relationships with software distributors to handle
marketing and support.

If you would like to see this product integrated with your office database,
please contact this company. We are developing our own database and
desktop link, but would be willing to work with an established product.
